I am using this book for my homeschooled kindergarten daughter and third grade son... It is easy to teach, holds their attention, and makes learning a second language fun! I have tried two other workbooks, but they were not nearly as easy to teach as this one..
El libro Es muy didactico mi hijo se divierte con el Es lo qué mas me gusta. The book is very good my son likes it a lot. He practices the pronunciation while he writes We love it. It has greetings, color, numbers, shapes and more.
I speak Spanish fluently and I originally ordered this book because I'm going to be teaching Spanish to a group of homeschoolers. As I started looking through the book to plan my lessons I was very pleasantly surprised. I would highly recommend this book. It has a glossary in the back, also it comes with it's own flash cards for the kids to cut out. There's a separate set of flash cards for each unit each set is a different color and can be made into a booklet of flash cards. There's a ton of children's songs that are set to the tune of familiar songs in English. There's also a huge list of recommended children's books in Spanish and what each book relates to, for example, adjectives, numbers, family, animals, etc. In my opinion this is an excellent book for children and it has a lot of little extras. I can't wait to teach my students with it.
I speak Spanish and try to teach my son, we started when he was 2 years. We read some books in Spanish and I talk to him when we play. But if I bought these book earlier it would be much easier for both of us. It is very simple for kids and has a lot of interesting tasks and even stikers. The best book for Spanish beginners which I have ever seen! Highly recommended!!!
We use this for homeschooling in 2nd- 3rd grade. I do not speak Spanish, so it was important to have a book that really walked us through everything. It does a good job of introducing a new language. It has several new words introduced in each section with different types of review pages. The songs and chants in the back of the book are cute, as well as the review cards. I also like that she can do most of the work independently. I have to go over pronunciation at the beginning of each section but after that she can complete most of the work herself. I would recommend for anyone new to Spanish.
This book is great for kids and adults alike. I love the Spanish language and wanted to nurture that love within my nieces so I got them this book. I also got one for my coworker's son who is a native speaker but wanted her son to have a deep understanding of writing and reading spanish. I meet too many spanish speakers who can't read or write spanish and find it very sad. This book is great for those who speak but do not read or write the language. I also gave this book as a gift for an older friend of my girls who wanted to teach herself spanish. My girls are 6 and 8 and they love this book, I gave the book to a 10 year old who loves it. Not only kids love it, my Pastor saw my girls with it and ordered one too. He even then ordered for his grand kids as gifts. I really love this book. The exercises are easy to build on, you progress at your own pace and may even lose time studying like my girls do. Your kids will be asking for more
I thought this would be a good product for my second grader who has not done any formal Spanish language courses, but it is too advanced. I purchased the other book in this series for preK-1 which is a better starting point even though it is more geared to the preK-1 age group. I will be using this book however once she gets a better foundation in the basic vocabulary.
Being a person that speaks no Spanish, I found it very difficult to use this book as I didn't know how to correctly pronounce the words. Not to be used alone as a means to learning Spanish. Would be great for a tutor to use with students as they learn.
